Abstract
A. woodroffei sp. nov., a species established as a domestic pest in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, is described. The species with which it was previously confused, A. fasciatus (Thunberg) (= A. gloriosae (F.)), is redescribed and the status of A. cinnamomeus Roth, as a junior synonym of A. fasciatus, is confirmed. Lectotypes are designated for A. fasciatus and A. gloriosae. The results of crossing experiments are reported.
