Abstract
The family of dermestid beetles comprises about 1300 species and subspecies (Háva, 2003, 2007b). Recently, faunistic and taxonomic articles about the Dermestidae from the Arabian Peninsula were published by Háva (2004, 2007a), Háva & Herrmann (2006), Mroczkowski (2002) and Zhantiev (2005, 2007). So far, very little was known about the Dermestidae of the UAE. Van Harten (2005) mentioned three and Háva (2007a) six species from the UAE. Here three new species from the UAE are described, illustrated and compared with related species: Attagenus vanharteni nov. spec., Attagenus papei nov. spec., and Phradonoma sweihanum nov. spec.; seven known species are recorded from the UAE for the first time.
