Abstract
A new species from the beetle family Dermestidae, Cryptorhopalum hollowayi sp. nov., has been found in Florida, U.S.A. It is described and illustrated here, along with a list of all species of the genus that have been reported from this US state to date. The following species are newly recorded: Cryptorhopalum fusculum LeConte, 1854 (West Virginia); Cryptorhopalum rubidum Beal, 1979 (Texas).
