Abstract
Egidyella arcana Beal and Zhantiev, new species is described from an area adjacent to sand dunes in Kern County, California. It is compared with the only other known species in the genus, E. prophetea Reitter, which occurs in Central Asia. New deļ¬nitions are provided for the genus and for the tribe Attagenini.
