Abstract
Between January 1971 and August 1972 pit-fall traps were used to collect beetles attracted to various types of mammalian dung (Oppenheimer, 1977). As would be expected, many other organisms occurred in the traps from spiders and harvestmen (Oppenheimer and Tikader, 1976) to frogs and snakes. This paper will present data for Coeloptera, with emphasis on beetles other than scarabaeoid dung beetles, which are treated in detail elsewhere (Oppenheimer, 1977, in prep.).
