Abstract
Three new species of the genus Anthrenus s. str. are described from the southern Levant: Anthrenus (Anthrenus) andreasi and A. (A.) illuminatus from Jordan, and A. (A.) yardenicus from Jordan and Israel. For each species images of head, habitus, ventrites, antennae, aedeagus, sternite IX and internal features from females are illustrated. The species are compared with all similar species from the region to ensure species validity. The study brings the number of Anthrenus s. str. species known from Jordan to eleven.
