The present article summarizes 93 species belonging to the family Dermestidae (Coleoptera: Bostrichiformia) deposited in Museo Civico di Scienze Naturali Trieste. A new species Phradonoma zavattarii sp. nov. from Ethiopia is described, illustrated and compared with similar species. A new synonym is proposed for the species Attagenus rossii Ganglbauer, 1904 (= Attagenus bifasciatus var. decoloratus Mulsant et Rey, 1868 syn. nov.). The species Thaumaglossa postlimbata (Pic, 1948) stat. nov. is newly stated as an independent species. The following species are newly recorded: Attagenus aristidis (Pic, 1894); Attagenus brunneonotatus (Pic, 1894); Attagenus tessellatus (Reitter, 1887); Anthrenus (Anthrenodes) umbellatarum Chobaut, 1898; Anthrenus (Anthrenus) simonis Reitter, 1881 and Anthrenus (Anthrenus) x-signum Reitter, 1881 (all from Libya); Attagenus ornatus Háva, 2007(Eritrea) and Attagenus posticalis Fairmaire, 1879 (Ethiopia, Eritrea). |
