The list of all identified specimens from the tribe Thorictini (Coleoptera: Dermestidae) from the collection
of the Czech entomologist Aldo Olexa are presented. A new species, Thorictus olexai sp. n. from Kazakhstan, is
described and illustrated. New records extending the known geographical distribution are published for the following
taxa: Thorictus castaneus castaneus Germar, 1834, T. ehlersii therondi Chobaut, 1924, T. foreli Wasmann, 1894 (all
from Morocco), T. grandicollis grandicollis Germar, 1842, T. cf. myrmecophilus Reitter, 1881 (both from Armenia),
and T. petranus John, 1965 from Syria. |
