Abstract
Dermestes (Dermalius) subgen. n. (type species Dermestes maximus Pic, 1915) is described, illustrated and compared. Male of Dermestes (Dermalius) maximus Pic, 1915 is described and recorded from Cameroun, Mauritanie, Tchad, Burkina Faso (= Haute Volta) for the first time.
