Abstract
The genus Orbeola Mulsant & Rey, 1868 from the Palaearctic and Afrotropical Regions is reinstated from its synonymy with Phradonoma Jacquelin du Val, 1859. The following combinations are newly proposed: Orbeola hirsutulum (Reiche in Mulsant & Rey, 1868) comb. nov. (from Phradonoma) as a type species; Orbeola endroedyi (Háva, 2003) comb. nov. (from Paratrogoderma); Orbeola haemorrhoum (Gerstäcker, 1871) comb. nov. (from Paratrogoderma); Orbeola reunionica (Háva & Poussereau, 2019) comb. nov. (from Paratrogoderma). The species Orbeola hirsutulum (Reiche in Mulsant & Rey, 1868) is recorded from Oman for the first time.
