Abstract
A taxonomic study of Korean Dermestidae(Coleoptera) associated with stored silkworm cocoons was carried out. As a result, eleven species of 4 genera were identified as follows; Dermestes maculatus De Geer, D. frischii Kugelann, D. tessellatocollis Motschulsky, D. ater De Geer, D. vorax Motschulsky, D. lardarius Linné, Attagenus japonicus Reitter, Trogoderma teukton Beal, Anthrenus verbasci (Linné), An nipponensis Kalik et N. Ohbayashi and An vorax Waterhouse. Among them, Anthrenus vorax and Trogoderma teukton were new to Korean fauna and Dermestes frischii was new to South Korea.. A pictorial key and some biological informations are also given.
