"The holotype of Anthrenus (Nathrenus) canariensis was erroneously described as having 11 antennomeres. In fact, a segment of one antenna is split into two parts; such a phenomenon is also known to occur in other subgenera. The species Anthrenus (Nathrenus) canariensis Háva, 2022 becomes a junior synonym of Anthrenus (Anthrenodes) minor Wollaston, 1865"
